Our production process
Clean and efficient production, recycling waste and reducing our carbon footprint are all obvious choices for a better planet. LFG always aims to reduce the environmental impact of its production process. We also pay a lot of attention to our employees’ working conditions.
Quality has priority
In the development of the LFG collection, quality has priority: in design, in materials, in comfort and in construction. Our products therefore have a very long life span. However, when the upholstery eventually needs replacing after many years, we will be happy to reupholster your furniture. So nothing is thrown away, making our furniture extremely sustainable.
CO2 emissions
To ensure that we leave behind a clean planet for future generations, we are trying to reduce our CO2 footprint.
In that respect, LFG is constantly investing in cleaner production methods: more efficient machines, less use of materials, solar panels, more energy efficient buildings, LED lighting and cleaner trucks.
Light, air and safety
Our people must be able to work cleanly and safely. Our employees are well trained and given good materials and the right safety equipment. In the production locations where we use varnishes or glues containing solvents, the unit is well ventilated and the air is also thoroughly cleansed.
Electricity / Fossil Fuels
LFG minimises the fossil fuels it uses, for example by using thermal energy storage systems, self-generated power and reducing its energy needs (more efficient equipment, LED lighting, roof insulation, occupancy sensors in areas which are not in frequent use).
Residual materials and recycling
The production process at LFG generates very little waste. The waste flow is minimal due to smart and efficient production methods and just-in-time deliveries from our suppliers. Residual fabrics, leather, foam and wood are reused or sold on wherever possible. Our residual materials can therefore be used by other manufacturers. Also see: current developments.
